Are you ready for this mind-blowing, reality-altering recipe?
Just to warn you, this recipe may not be anything that appeals to you, personally. But I post my own definition of deliciousness mostly just to get you thinking...get your own creative juices flowing...
And with today's recipe, if I can get just ONE person thinking, "Hey ~ what can I drizzle chocolate all over??" ...then I have done my job.
My kids do love this, too...if that helps at all.
:)
This was inspired by an episode of Food Network's show Kid In a Candy Store.
So here's what I did.
I poured a bunch of Frito's out of a bag onto a cookie sheet. Then I poured a bunch of pretzels onto the cookie sheet. I melted some Ghirardelli milk chocolate chips (I think two bags, maybe??) and then poured the chocolate over the salty snack foods. I then took some dried cherries and added those to the top of the melted chocolate.

I put the cookie sheet in the freezer to set up the chocolate.

Once it was set, we broke it into chunks, and then we ate that delicious combination of sweet and salty.

Um...yeah. Y-U-M.

What are YOU going to drizzle chocolate all over???
EnJOY.

This actually sounds really appealing right now. Maybe a treat for tomorrow afternoon?? I'll keep you posted!
I did a version of this yesterday for a family get-together this coming week. I used Fritos, crumbled Peanut Butter Pretzels, Cashews and chopped mixed dried fruits. I was aiming for dark chocolate, but didn't end up with enough, so I threw in Baker's semi-sweet, bittersweet, unsweetened, and some Hershey's dark minis to come up with enough chocolate to coat. We'll see how well it goes over!
